Mala Britto, DDS, MS
Dr. Mala Britto completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1991 at Government Dental College in Bangalore, India. After practicing general dentistry in Dubai for eight years, she realized that her passion was working with children. She left Dubai and traveled across the Atlantic to study further, attending the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana, to complete her training in pediatric dentistry, receiving her certificate in pediatric dentistry in 2002 and her masters in oral biology in 2003. Dr. Britto attends multiple continuing education courses each year to stay at the forefront of the dental field and has completed advanced training in laser dentistry (for which she received a dental laser certification) and myofunctional treatments and frenectomies. She specializes in the care of infants, children, teens and children with special needs.
Dr. Britto has practiced in the Chantilly area for over 20 years. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Northern Virginia Dental Society, Maryland State Dental Association and Tyson’s Study Club.
As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Britto’s goal is to prevent dental disease, empower children to be responsible for their own dental health and help them with their confidence through a beautiful smile. Her passion is to work with children, especially those who are nervous, and see them grow into confident young individuals with their own unique and enjoyable personalities and amazing ideals. She enjoys and cherishes seeing toddlers grow into young adults over years of interactions with them. Dr. Britto loves her job and feels it is one of the most fulfilling professions.
Dr. Britto is married and has three beautiful children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, yoga and Pure Barre.
Dr. Nairouz Abdelsalam (Aka Dr.Naz)
Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Naz was born and raised across the world in Benghazi, Libya. Her journey to Britto’s Children Dentistry began with a passion for pediatric dentistry that brought her all over the US from New York to California, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Oregon and finally right here in Virginia.
Dr. Naz received her dental degree from Benghazi University in 2008. In 2014, she joined NYU College of Dentistry for the Advanced Program in Dentistry. She then continued her journey by joining UCLA in 2015 as a Pediatric Advanced Clinical trainee and finished her Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Tufts University in 2018. She was honored to receive the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award, given to the top 3% scores nationally on the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Qualifying Exam. Soon after graduating, Dr. Naz followed her passion for teaching and became a clinical assistant professor at the NYU-Langone hospital in Nashville for two years.
After experiencing life all over the US, Dr. Naz’s love of adventure brought her to the DMV area. She is thrilled to call Virginia home and be one of the newest members of the Britto’s Children Dentistry family. When she’s not bringing smiles to her patients, Dr. Naz loves to spend quality time with friends and family, cooking up a storm, and traveling.
